The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I got burned by all 3 ... the org.eclipse.rse feature & com.ibm.etools.iseries.logging.utils plug-in can probably be made optional.
The initializeSubSystem issue is more significant ... although we were just calling the super classes method, so I might be able to just remove that method from my class.
If I was using the method it would have been a much bigger deal. I would have had to maintain three different versions of our plug-in ... one compatible with WDSC 7 & RDI 7.1 (some of our customers still use those), a version of RDI 7.5 - RDP 7.6, and a version of RDP 8.0.
Still, it's pretty annoying.
IBM i users are used to a level of backwards compatibility that is pretty rare in the general computer industry.
