Update on selectAndReveal:

I have been working with IBM regarding this issue.
They have explained that in RDi 7.5, operations in the SystemView were
changed from being synchronized to asynchronized.
But the API QSYSViewHelpers requires 3 operations to be synchronized:
-Create an object folder (and add it into the system view)
-Retrieve all the objects for this filter from the host (and update the
system view)
-Select one particular object in system view.

Due to this, selectAndReveal will not behave the way it did in prior
versions.

IBM has said that they will modify the selectAndReveal method to sync up
these operations.
They will also provide an interface that will allow us to monitor the status
of the selectAndReveal for errors (such as if the given object is not found
in the created filter).

These changes should be available in an upcoming service pack.

My thanks to those folks at IBM for their quick attention to this matter.
-Doug

Is anyone else using selectAndReveal?

I'm not currently ... but it sure gives me an idea for my plugin :)

Have you seen this behavior, and if so, how did you work around it?

When/if I get around to using it, I will certianly let you know.
