Excellent info. Thanks a lot. That's what I was afraid of is that
support is going to think we're at 6.1....

I messed up our customer record trying to do this myself and it thinks
we are at V6R1 now. As a result, I can't get back to that area of the
site, unfortunately.

To navigate there, once you sign in, go to My IBM, More, Orders and
Delivery under Customer Support, order and manage System I and p
software, then Order Updates on the left side.

The barcodes on the disk sleeve read SK3T-4098-04 and 29R1895. The
System i Access for Windows disk 1 is SK5T-7096-00, Disk 2 is
SK5T-7097-00, maybe they can work with that?

Our BP is IBM. Would you have a link available for the order?

Chris,

From what our business partner told me it was on the web site for
software orders, have you tried that route? Otherwise our BP was the
one that placed the actual order, is that an option for you?

Jim

James,

It looks like we're getting the run around and no one at IBM seems to
know what we're talking about. Any suggestions?

Chris

I had the same question, and our admin found this reference somewhere:

For current V5R4 System i Access Family (5722-XW1) customers:
If you have a software maintenance contract for your i5/OS, you can
acquire the V6R1 System i Access Family products but keep your i5/OS at
V5R4 by ordering the 5722XW1 (iSeries Access Family) refresh. The
refresh feature is 2649 and is available at no charge for software
maintenance customers.

We just got the 2 disks for Client Access using this option.

Just order 6.1 of the OS and shelf the other CDs. Or ask your friendly
local BP to grab a copy of the CD from his office, or ask at your local
user group if you can borrow someone's CD.
