Hi Janith

I would respectfully suggest you bypass WS2012 and move straight to WS2013
over Aurora3.0. The UI is much improved.

This definately sounds like cache issue as we have both WS2012 & WS2013 in
test environment over Aurora 3.0 and only new users at first time login
exhibits delay - after that get into WS home screen under 20 secs. If you
run AMCONFIG on new user you even get rid of this additional delay. We
also have Infor10 and Ming.le front ends under test for WS2012/WS2013
respectively and see a small increase in latency when accessing WS server
via these - but only adds a few seconds.

Suggest you ensure that you update AMCONFIG on your WS server for all
users and setup cache refresh for 60 mins. Anything less than that can
affect server performance.

Other than that, Infor have some very knowledgeable resources who can
assist by reviewing your server config and making suggestions.

Subject: [SYSTEM21] Workspace 2012 time taking to login
Sent by: system21-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi All

We are currently upgrading system21 to Aurora V3 and planning to move
users from client access to Workspace 2012.

During the testing users are noticing that Workspace login process can
take up to 2 minutes to login whereas if used client access it only takes
few seconds. But system is as fast as green on black once logged in and
taken the first menu option.

We are aware of the fact that Workspace needs to maintain a local cache
which can contribute to the slowness.

I would like to know rough sign on times from any Workspace users out
there and if you have done anything to speed up the login process.

Thank you for your time

Best Regards
Janith
