Steve,

Sorry, a couple of typo's in my last email. The files are @CPIUSL etc.

The @CPI file was a parameter passing technique used by IPG an automatic
program generator. The "standard" parameter passing in system/21 is the LDA.
So you will only get entries in the CPI files if the program started life as
an IPG generated program or it interfaces with an IPG generated program.

Hope this sheds some light on things.

Regards
Gary.

Subject: [SYSTEM21] What is file OSLD1F3/@CPIUIN?

We received an error in a job that runs overnight because file
OSLD1F3/@CPIUIN (Inventory V3. Fix environment CPI User File) was full.

We increased the size to *NOMAX to get around the error.

Can anyone explain what this file is and if we can simply clear it?

It appears to be some type of job control record that JBA didn't
properly handle and there are 1000's of records that have just the job
number in the first field and the rest of the record contains blanks or
zeros.

We are at version 3.5.2.

Thanks,

Steve
