Hi Barbara,

But aren't you supposed to use role processing with Aurora? I have to admit this customer is the first one I have seen use Aurora.

Steve

Hi Steve,

I had similar problem, when we moved to AURORA and I had to make sure Role Processing was set to 0 in 2 places, so it would not use roles.
STRM400
    1) Admin
        System Mgr Properties
            Application Mgr
                Role Processing = 0
    2) Application Mgr
        Maintain Environment
            Enter your env code
                Role Processing = 0

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Is the user assigned to the role? Is the Role authorised to the menu? Are they accessing via Green on Black or Workspace?

Hi Mike,

I have looked at the roles and made changes to one of the users profiles and to roles and menu. The user profile in the S21 screens looks like mine, I can access the option, but when I sign on as the user I cannot. So I am not sure what is wrong.

Steve,
If you are using System21 Aurora then Roll processing may be active. If that is the case then the authorisation is at a roll level not a user level.

I checked in IPGCFF4/APG05PHY and there was no record for me in there, I copied QPGMR which had the '1' in the last 10 positions but this achieved nothing. I still cannot do the authorisations. I know I have setup users before on this box, but that was at least 2 years ago. Something must have changed, the only people who could have changed it are Infor, but they need me to book a call before anyone will even talk to me about this, very frustrating.

Steve,

Do you have authority to perform Common Functions...?
If not you will not likely see the authority screens...

Look at the record in IPGCFF4/APG05PHY that has your name on it...
The last ten positions of this record should be all '1' if you want to be able to do Common Functions which includes granting and revoking authority...

Typically the QSECOFR or QPGMR profile have the requisite clearance to perform CF...

Good luck...

Hi Adrian,
á
I take F8 from the actual screen layout to the screen where you
enter

ID/Env/Rl/Code, from there Enter does nothing, F8 just takes you out. Is it the release level perhaps?

Steve, You could try maintaining the menu again.á Press F8 from
the memu design screen (operations screen) then press enter (not
F8).á The next screen will allow you to use option 1 for all
(options) or 3 to select against each user name to be authorised.
