There are PDF versions of all the S21 manuals at 3.5.2.b which I
downloaded from Infor365, although whether they have been updated for
Aurora I wouldn't know. There is an IBM Redbook SG24-5967-00 ISBN
0738418366 Geac System 21 Implementation for AS/400 co-authored by
Graham Hope that makes a useful reference. I downloaded my copy from the
IBM website. There was also a manual "System 21 Operations Guide for the
ASA/400" although whether this ever got past the draft stage I don't
know, but it does cover a lot of the System Manager functions. One
useful thing I have done is to collect all the subsystem start/end menu
options onto a single menu, and I'm doing the same thing with calendars.
I'm doing this by brute force, however, by printing and manually
checking every menu on the system :-(

The standard application manuals sadly follow the usual format: here is
a screen, these are the fields on a screen, and this is what they
contain; there is very little about how the screens are used as part of
a complete process, and how entries in one field may affect the
operation of the system in other areas.

Hope that helps

Hi Anuj,

You can get access the S21 user manuals online (can also be downloaded
as a
PDF doc) at infor365.com (see doclink). You will need to register and
get
your company's permission before Infor will grant you access. I'm not
sure
if access is maintenance contract dependent or not. S21 functional
documentation - what's that? Never heard of it.

If all else fails, IBM do have a couple of really old Redbooks on S21
for a
general overview.

Good luck.
