We upgraded from S/21 3.51 to Aurora 1.2 three years ago, and in fact today we are kicking off our conversion from Aurora 1.2 to 2.3.

The conversion from S/21 to Aurora was a little bit of a challenge since Aurora was converted to RPGIV, so your modifications are a little more tricky than just mindlessly cutting and pasting code.

We are considering an upgrade to Aurora. I'm curious how many others are
also considering an upgrade.

Re: [SYSTEM21] System 21 Maintenance

I've not had a clear response yet, but I understand that there may be
issues with some of the old code not being compatible with V6. Infor's
original response was, that we need to upgrade to Aurora, but that just
isn't an option for most of us at this time. On the other hand, it may be

that they just haven't tested it.

Because source for S/21 System Manager is not made available by Infor and
because the S/21 System Manager objects do not include the program's
creation data, you need to get a new object version from Infor. Thus the
dilemma for those who drop maintenance.

Thanks.

Charlie Massoglia

For what release of S/21 System Manager, Infor is willing to give
observable objects even if have maintenance?

Thank you,
