Hi,

We are on base and have always used average costing, and it does seem to
average properly.
We had a small mod to allow us to use FIFO maintenance to update the
cost if it was not received accurately with all landed costs and it will
update average cost.

There is a file that holds all landed costs, which I can check later if
you need when I have more time. The movement file (INP95) also keeps the
actual landed cost at time of PO receipt movement.
The PO enquiry also shows the landed costs for each line.

Hi

I had been told that this was not now supported by Infor. I looked at
average costing recently and found that it was not really a true
weighted average which was required, so we did not consider the landed
cost element.
It worked very much on latest costs, so the company decided to go for
FIFO costing and landed costs work perfectly with this.

Good luck

We are using Style and currently utilize Standard Costing. I have
been
asked to look at the possibility of moving to average costing, but we
need
to also track the landed cost as part of the valuation. Is anyone
doing
anything like this?
