We are on Aurora now, but if I remember correctly, that field only serves
"flag" or note that it is to be deleted and does not function to prevent
the item being used. When we were on 3.5.2 (not style) we changed the
description by adding "DELETE" OR "DNU" (do not use) at the beginning of
the description, in addition to using the DCPF35 field. We then would
delete/end the pricing so that if the reps attempted to enter an order for
the item it would come up as "ITEM NOT PRICED" at order entry. The DCPF35
field served as a field we could filter on when running reports and
queries. We found no way to guarantee the item was not used until it was
actually deleted.

Dear List:

Can anyone tell me how we could maintain discontinued product flag this
field is part of INP35 (DCPF35 - Discontinued product flag)

We are trying to use this field to obsolete an item. We are on V3.5.1
style version, but I am sure it's same with base environment as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Suren
