Item Supplier Profile Maintenance Question

I had a user at one of my plant locations who went into the Item Supplier 
Profile Maintenance (3/PMM) for a Item & Supplier and displayed a current 
price of 3.52.  When they did a F13 for the Price Structure, the price 
showed as 3.49 with eff. dates of 7/1/06 to 6/30/07.  It was a current 
price and the only price for the item.  I also noticed that the Profile 
Maintenance display screen had a message stating "Vendor schedules exist 
for item - different prices may apply".  When I go into the option now, 
both of the prices say 3.49.  Does anyone have any idea what may have 
caused this?  And, is this really a problem?
