Mark, We have moved away from AS/400 Queries and on to Crystal Reports (Enterprise V.10) We have found Crystal to be an excellent AD Hoc type report writer that puts System/21 files in an easy to understand format. The users are happy and once a report has been created, it can be set to run automatically and emailed to the user in a variety of formats, including PDF and Excel. Please contact me if I can provide you any further information. We are located in West Virginia. We are JBA/GEAC/Infor (whatever) System/21 users. We're looking at AD Hoc Query and reporting software to replace the Corvu that JBA sold us when we originally went on System/21. It would be a big help to me if you would let me know how you're dealing with this. Thanks in advance for your consideration of my request. Do you use the native System/21 reports? YES Do you use just AS/400 query and download extracts to Excel? We do download to Excel via Client Access, but we are not doing the same thing with Crystal Reports. If you use Corvu, have you upgraded to Aurora? We do not use Aurora. Do you use System/21 Performance Analyzer? No. Do you use some other product? Which one? Crystal Reports. Enterprise V.10 Are you doing any kind of EIS or executive dashboard software? Which one? Crystal does have dashboard ability, but we have not implemented that feature yet. To get things rolling, here's my answers: Do you use the native System/21 reports? A: Yes, we do, but we've had to modify them extensively. Do you use just AS/400 query and download extracts to Excel? A: We use some query, but for downloads to Excel we use a product called mrc If you use Corvu, have you upgraded to Aurora? A: We use Corvu now. We're unhappy with the support we're getting. And we've received contradictory information about whether it'll work with Aurora. (Hence the need for this mailing.) Do you use System/21 Performance Analyzer? A: No, it's one that we're looking at as a Corvu replacement Do you use some other product? Which one? A: We use mrc-Productivity series. An application generator that does a good job for us in the hands of a programmer. But we've had little luck getting the Accountants to embrace it. Are you doing any kind of EIS or executive dashboard software? Which one? A: We have some EIS type screens that are written in mrc. The Executives use them, but we'd like to do a lot more and the Infor sales rep is saying that a lot of what we want is already in the basic templates they deliver with System/21 Performance Analyzer. Thanks again.
