I am not on Aurora yet, but in previous versions GEAC has been pretty good about naming fields. 1) Always a company code CONO with file number after eg in INP35 = CONO35, INP60 = CONO60, etc 2) Look for similar names such as CUSN for customer number, SUPN for supplier, etc 3) Sometimes you get different field names from different modules, such as PNUM and CATN for item code but both have the same description and are same size and type. Hope this helps Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ian Leafe" <Ian.Leafe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <system21@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, March 15, 2006 11:32 AM Subject: [SYSTEM21] Aurora - Database > Hi, > I wonder if anyone can help me, I'm a RPG programmer who's just started > working on JBA/Aurora. > > I'm trying to work out the linkages between files and would be very > grateful if anyone had documents outlining links between files in the > database. > > I've downloaded some manuals from GEAC website but not been of great help. > > For example PLP15 have a description of Item master had me thinking! > > Did twig eventually!!
