Perhaps it's the independent control of Menu Access versus Task Access, with Company Access layered on top. It can be a nightmare explaining to an auditor who REALLY has access to what. You could just have the 3rd party program do a RUNAMTASK for the task behind the menu option once it passes its security check. That is essentially what JBA does.
