Thanks guys. I will test this out .. Initially I wasn't sure if this solution will fit into our environment, but having thought about it, it could potentially work for about 80% of our programs.

There are commands included in the standard package of S/21 that can be used to capture and restore the current values of the LDA from within a CL program.

PUTLDA stores the LDA
GETLDA restores the LDA...

As Jack suggests, this may be another viable solution, requires testing...

Roshan,

You could create a generic CLP program to run all your
home grown programs.  Have the CLP save the LDA into
a Variable before calling the program, then restore the
LDA from the variable before exiting the program and
returning to the JBA environment.
