RE: MRP

A few places to check (assuming all the obvious ones like
Quantity-per-assembly are OK):

Are the component effectivity dates all still active?
Are you using Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP)?
Is the component delivery lead time extremely large?

Subject: [SYSTEM21] MRP 

We have experienced and intermittent problem with MRP.  Although the end
item shows requirements the explosion down the BOM doesn't seem to
happen.  Not all items, just a random few.  It seems to be when we have
and end item that shows the next BOM level being a Subcontract part.  We
have made sure our MRP model includes the Subcontract warehouse.  We
have our level sets correctly for MRP explosion.  Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated.
