Dear All, The software that you choose will probably depend on what your bank recommends. In my case, Barclays Bank recommended IBacs from Direct Debit (Access Europe on your list). This is available for a small monthly fee of £50 per user from memory. Our simple CL uses the STRPCO command to get client access to download sort code, account details, amount, payee name, our name etc into a *.txt file. It also clears BACSF1 after the transfer has been completed successfully! The data import function from Ibacs formats this file using a template and once validated and approved it is sent to BACS. This all took an afternoon to set up and their consultant and helpdesk where kind and helpful. The next step is to implement direct debit collections using a product called Direct Debit Expert which is AUDDIS compliant. Check out this web site: http://www.directdebit.com/index.html Also, make sure that you arrange to receive your smart card(s) from your sponsor bank as you can't do anything without them. As all of you BACS users are aware, the old BACS facility is being switched off at the end of this year. Now, GEAC have an offering in conjunction with a company called Eiger Systems to work with the BACS-IP facility. I was wondering what others are planning on doing. Are you going to go with the GEAC solution or are you planning on going with a different one (and if it is a different one, then which one)? Thanks, in advance, for your help.
