In the past their has typically been a 1 to 1 ratio. One part number per each customer. But recently we have been shipping/selling the item to multiple customers and have more than one customer attached to the item. We did not incorporate the customer number into our items (possibly a bad decision). Are there other ways that you would be able to get customer/part info. We use our group major codes in INP 35 for other groupings and would not be able to use that. What was happening is that we would run a query for "Total On hand" inventory for the plant and the items with more than 1 customer number would be added in a second time or 3rd time if a third customer number was created. Then in interactive SQL I connected to that database using CONNECT and happily worked on that remote systems data. I see no reason why this wouldn't work in embedded sql as well and to a SQLServer database.
