Jon,

It should be possible, by summarising the records in PAYHIST by tax year
and pay period, to obtain figures to agree with your GL postings.  You will
of course have the problem of translating pay periods to GL periods, and if
you have both weekly and monthly paid personnel you would have to treat
these separately.

Thanks for this but this is a summary file and we are after the detail
posting file that will allow us to tie it back to the General Ledger.

An example of which is the ALHIST file.

The file you need is PAYHIST, and the required fields are PEMPNO, TAXYRS,
PDTXWM, PNICDE and PDEHER.
