No, it should not matter. If the line in FLP008 already has an updnog number in it, it will not update again. Only the ones that have zero in the updnog field will update. If it has the same reference number on all the transactions in FLP008 that are zero, you will only need to zero the updnog field for that reference in FLP007. All this does is force the flp008 records to post. We have had this happen to us before but have never found a reason for it. Someone at (JBA) way back when told us to run that query every night in day. We also do one for AP and AR. We have never had it happen to us in anything but GL. I have 24 lines from the third period of this fiscal year that match up with the query you suggested over FLP008. The total of those lines is zero and they all have the same Document Ref. Out of curiosity I ran a query over the Document Ref. to see if there were others that were NE zero. There were and the UPDNOG field was populated with an incremental seven-digit number. Should that be a concern if I update the respective updnog flag in FLP007? Also should either the total debit or credit I'm seeing in FLP008 total the amount of the discrepancy? Thanks! If they have, run a query over file FLP008 and select the updnog field equal to zero. IF it is, go into the corresponding record in flp007 and remove the updnog flag and it will then post. You will need the session number that is not completely posted. The Document reference number in FLP008 will be the same document reference number in FLP007. Can someone tell me where I can check to reconcile this? Thank you...
