We are struggling with posting Invoices from an external system into S21 at
the beginning of each month;

For example;  our external system produces an Invoice on 1st October.  This
is placed in SLPI0, and SLPI1.
The Sales Ledger is still in period 09 and if we write that value in the
period field, the posting goes to that period.

However, we require that posting to go to period 10 and if I put that value
in the period field, the SL interface flags this as an error.  (Strangely,
the PL interface seems to allow this.)

Does anyone have any advice please?
