Sharon

Have you tried using Filters. Vendor Scheduling recommends that you have a
filter that stops MRP doing anything to a P.Order other than cancel it. In
other words it will not suggest changes up or down in qty or to be
rescheduled in or out.

You Set these up in 11/MDU, Then F17 and it is parameter type WTYP -
Reschedule Policy. Set up a 12V with 001 00. Then on the Manufacturing Item
Master 3/MDM input a V in the MPS/MRP filter field on the second page.

Hope this helps

Subject: [SYSTEM21] MRP Demand Cancellation

Hi,

Does anyone encounter MRP Demand (with PO) is cancelled when forecast is
changed (decrease). I enter the forecast 100 then run the mrp, MRP
suggested 100 demand with qty and dates breakdown of 12/15/03 qty 25,
12/20/03 qty of 75, i run the vendor sourcing and auto release to genereate
the PO. The PO genereated an order line of 100 with dates 12/15/03 qty 25
and 12/20/03 qty of 75.

Then i run the mrp to reflect the generated PO. When review PO is
reflected.

Next i change the forecast reduce from 100 to 25. I run the MRP again. When
review qty 75 has an action status of CA - cancel. And when i run the
vendor sourcing and auto release schedule 12/20/03 qty of 75 is deleted in
the PO.

Question: What flag i miss to setup in production details or company
profile that would not cancel the confirmed qty cause the qty has been
converted into PO.

Thanks,

Sharon
