Hi Jeff,

Thanks so much for the info, I guess there has to be more thought to this
than just typing in a new end date :)

Jason,

Link connects you to iseries website where they have a hefty document on
commerce.connect installation. You have to be a member so if the link
doesn't work just sign up its for free! Just navigate to DOCFINDER and
scroll down to locate ERP links and click on GEAC. If that doesn't work,
email me and I'll send you the file. Hope that helps and let me know what
happens.

Folks,

Would there be any problem if we change the end date of our inventory
periods? Like say if i change the end date of period 8 to Spetember 2 since
that is the actual cutoff of the inventory people. Pls note that i only get
to know the cutoff date several days before the actual cutoff when our
inventory people announce the schedule.

We don't change closing dates every month but we've had to change them in
the past and probably will again in the future... The one thing we have to
do whenever we do that is to sync the calendar files to correspond with
whatever ending date we choose...

The following menu options are the ones we have to take each time we decide
to change the closing date. Note some options have a weekly and monthly
selection. We do not have all the applications so there may be others you
need to investigate...

31/GLA- Fiscal month-end dates

2/GLV- Fiscal year date range

4/SAM- Period- Fiscal month-end dates
            Week- Sunday dates

8/INM- Monthly- Fiscal period end dates
           Weekly- Sunday dates

7/INM- shows current period

1/MDU- Enter days per fiscal period

Hello,

Can anyone please share with me their experiences with Commerce.Connect or
commerce.platform?

I am looking for any views about the solution, good, bad or indifferent to
help with a proposal we are preparing. Was it easy to implement, does it do
what it should, does it perform as it should, has it been reliable, was the
project completed on time and on budget.

Your real-world experiences will be a great addition to the existing
technical documentation we already have.

Thank you

We tried to install ourselves and ran into varies problems. We finally had
to have GEAC come out and install the products. No one has any documentation
on the install procedure whatsoever. We have successfully implement Credit
Diary but not without some frustration and disappointments. You can contact
me offline for details.
