We get some balances going out of sync in location control - particularly a bin location which is called INL2038 sometimes gets created when a balance goes negative. There are two places I believe need to be looked at by Geac as I think they are causing the problem :- - the cancel picknote option does not always put the stock back - if you confirm a quantity short at confirm despatch, I think it leaves the balance incorrect here also Havent been able to work out what the transaction types mean. It's also a pain that Geac don't provide a movements enquiry, or even include the user name(!) in that movements file. Interestingly, the Geac rebuild programs rebuild from bottom up, ie. it assumes the locations are correct and works up to INP60. We have written utilities here to keep INPLD/INPLH & INPLE in sync with their respective others, INP60 & OEP55. Any other comments about Location Control would be interesting, I didn't realise many others used it! In file INPLF (location movements) I can see entries that sets the locations to 13 and -1 but how do I find out what program did this?? There is a Unique Reference # , what other files is the ref # in, what does it reference to?? The Tran type is 'O' does this mean something?? Any pointers greatfully received. Thanks, Gary. _______________________________________________ This is the System 21 Users (SYSTEM21) mailing list To post a message email: SYSTEM21@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/system21 or email: SYSTEM21-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/system21.
