Your first issue is that if using the AI module, the correct application is to populate AIPAA, AIPAB and AIPAC, process 1/CSAI, that in turn will populate the CSP files for which you should then run 24/CSP. A lot also depends on the S21 version you are using. GEAC and I had many conversations, some heated, on this issue, but the fact remained that for the level of information we use it for, it really didn't work right until Americas SP4. With the issue of cash posting, depending the S21 version you are on, if the system has a "partial match", it will immediately post the cash and suspend the matching portion of your session. You simply have to select the cash to your allocation session. I have attached a simple example of what CSP67 & CSP68 look like after processed. You should also review previously archived Midrange discussions on this issue. -----Original Message----- From: Neil Thursby [mailto:neil.thursby@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, June 27, 2003 10:39 AM To: System 21 Users Subject: [SYSTEM21] Importing Cash Receipts We are writing a program to import electronic cash receipts and allocate to the invoices concerned, but can't get the allocation side to work. Briefly, I'm writing the cash receipt to file CSP67 and the Invoices concerned into CSP68. When I run 24/CSP, the cash hits the customers account, but the allocation is ignored. If I then go into 5/ARA, the allocation (only) is sitting in there. Any attempt to release it results in the message "allocation does not balance". Does anyone know their way round this area please? Neil. _____________________________________________________________________ This transmission and any attachments are confidential and are intended solely for the named addressee (s).
