Steve,

I don't normally intercept these customer discussions, but would like to just
point out that we have introduced complete item supersession functionality in
the System21 Aurora product, which should allow you to handle supersessions
without all the clever workarounds that customers have been having to make do
with today.

I appreciate you will probably still need a workaround in the short term, but
this new functionality, together with other controls around which transactions
can be performed during product introduction and product retirement, greatly
enhance this area of product life cycle control for our System21 customers.

Subject: [SYSTEM21] Item Supersession

Hi All

Is there a way to ensure that a superseded part cannot be used in order
entry after the supersession date in item maintenance?

Regards
