We have found System21's reporting to be fairly basic and consequently have 
started using CORVU to perform most of the reporting we need especially in the 
costing area.

Stock  reconciliation's
How  often  do  you  reconcile  inventory  to  General  Ledger - What
issues  arise ?
Do  you  use  JBA  reports  to  investigate  differences  or  do  you  use
other  methods ?  
Which  reports  do  you  use  or  what  methods  do  you  use  and  how
effective  are  they ?
Does  stock  being  valued  at  zero ( i.e transfers to a  stockroom  at
nil  value) cause  any  issues ?
If  it  does  cause  issues  how  are  they  resolved ?

Stock  Valuations
Do  you  value  your  stock  on  JBA  including  Direct  Labour  and
Overheads ?
If  not  how  do  you  add  in  the  non material  costs ?

Controls
Are  shop  floor  disciplines  good  or  do  issues  arise  which  effect
accuracy  of  costs  and  stock  values ?
How  do  you  overcome  any  issues  arising ?
Who  controls  setting  up  of  new  stockrooms ?
Does  this  cause  any  issues  and  how  are  they  resolved ?
Do  you  have  items  that  can  be  both either  bought in or manufactured
in house ?
If  so  does  this  cause  any  specific  issues ?
How  are  the  issues  overcome ?
Who  controls  the  M/P flag  on  the  item  master ?

Costing  Methods
Which  costing  method(s)  do  you  use ?
If  standard  how  often  do  you  revalue  standards ?
Does  this  cause  any  issues  with  stock  valuation ?
How  do  you  analyse/report  price  variances ?
If  you  use  average  costing  does  the  way  system  sometimes calculates
the  average  cost  cause  you  any  issues ?
How  do  you  resolve  these  issues ?
Have  you  always  used  the  same  costing  method ?  If  not  why  did
you  change ?

Invoice  Posting
Do  you  have  any  problems  caused  by  the  three way  match  of
invoices  for  materials  other  than  those  caused  by  keying  errors ?
How  do  you  resolve  the  problems  arising ?

Budgets / Forecasts  
Do  you  Budget / Forecast  using  JBA ?
If  so  how  do  you  prepare  Budgets / Forecasts ?  If  not  how  do  you
Budget / Forecast ?
Do  you  have  access  to  other  versions  of  Bills of  Materials  other
than  one  in  current  use ?
If  so  how  do  you  make  use  of  them ?

Stock  Reporting
Do  you  use  JBA  reports  or  have  you  developed  another  method  of
reporting  stock  information ( Quantity  and  Value) ?
How  do  you  track  stock  movements  during  a  period ?

How  fully  do  you  use  AFI ? 
Do  you  use  manufacturing  AFI ? 
How  often  do  you  run  AFI  extracts ?
Does  use  of  AFI  cause  any  issues  and  how  do  you  resolve  them ?

Staffing
How  is  your  costing  section  organised ?
Are  responsibilities  allocated  across  sites  or  by  GL  Balance  Sheet
accounts ?
