You should also be aware that the AI modules do not support 3 way match for inbound invoices. After using the AI module (3.5.2B SP2 - yes we will upgrade) extensively over the last 9 months ($20M p/month), I have determined that it is not mature in design (i.e. written to fit the needs of a unique customer but not the industry). I have brought to the attention of GEAC many issues that either they were aware of but were considered low priority (therefore never to be fixed) or new because of the volume and diversity of transactions my company processes. You will need programming resources to build the interface and invest a great deal of time trouble shooting issues depending upon the scenarios you have. Heed this warning: it may not apply to you. GEAC is confident that the module is fine. It is fine IF 100% of the 820's match EXACTLY to that of Invoice amount: No overpays, no excessive amount of underpays, etc. I am passionate on this issue because of the time invested. With the time my company invested in total, it would have been cost advantageous to have written the module ourselves. I have always been supportive of System 21 "in total" but I strongly advise you to consider the use and application of this module very carefully. -----Original Message----- From: Jeff_Klipa/Harvard@harvardind.com [mailto:Jeff_Klipa/Harvard@harvardind.com] Sent: Friday, October 04, 2002 8:53 AM To: jbausers-l@midrange.com Subject: [SYS21] Which JBA AI** Programs Go With Which Maps??? Peter.Clay@geac.com - Peter Clay has been the EDI Guru at JBA for as long as I've known him... That's almost 9 years now... Peter may have moved on to more exciting things, like XML etc., but he should be able to help you locate someone who has a master legend you can obtain... Good luck... Does anyone have a complete listing of which JBA EDI programs are to be used with which maps? For example I BELIEVE that AI351 should be used to receive the 852 map files. Surely there must be SOME GURU out there that has a handle on all of this.
