That is what I meant.  In that way the accountants 12 can still use period 12
for their adjustments etc
GL can be open for Period 12 and period 1 onwards...
AR period 12 is closed and all new entries go to period 1 for both AR and GL.
The same for AP.

It may be that the accountants want to make adjustments to the year end
figures.  This can be done prior to them rolling it.  Prior Period Journals can
also be used.
