Hi Michael Just wanted to let you know (out of interest) how our year-end went. We changed company profile FISYE, ALTYE, NPRD to 08 (for 8 month year) We also had to change the Calender to have only 8 months and this let the system know that there are only 8 months Everything went fine except we had to do a small modification to our GL Enquiry program & the Transaction Report program to prevent it from looking at period 12. We did have very current backups in case something went wrong... but we did the changes in the live environment. Thank you for some of your ideas Regards Avryl > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael Berman [SMTP:mxb1@start.com.au] > Sent: Monday, February 25, 2002 1:29 PM > To: jbausers-l@midrange.com > Subject: Fw: SYS21 - Moving year end > > Avryl, > What did you change on the company profile? > The number of periods or the Fiscal End Of Year? > Was this in test or live? > > It could be bad if you changed the number of periods. > You need to change the Fiscal Year End.
