We automated the MRP run to execute late in the evening. We did this by
copying the task, removing exclusivity and running in a dedicated jobq.
That jobq is held and released at a pre-defined time. We also added a
bit of CL and a dataarea so the task couldn't be requested twice. The
user still has to manually request the task, and enter the dates, but
the job then runs out of hours.

This solution worked fine for us.

Neil.

We run MPS and MRP for all of our plants in Machine Manager every
night...
The key to making this work was a mod written by the Detroit (Novi)
office
programming staff...

Incrementing the date is not the least of your problems either...
Exclusivity restrictions prevent you from even scheduling the vanilla
tasks
(back to back) in Machine Manager (At least it did in V3.5.1)...

I'm sure the mod is available from them still...
You should contact your account manager to inquire about obtaining a
copy for
yourself.

  Subject SYS21 - Automating 11/MPS & 11/MRP
  :

Has anyone had success in automating 11/MPS
and 11/MRP?

There is a current date on both of these screens
that currently gets updated manually by 1 day
each time it is run.

How did you go about updating this date?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
