As has been mentioned already, Service POs for the anticaipated freight could
be created at the time that the goods POs are created, Then, when the freight
invoice arrives the "anticipated" amounts would be 3-way matched to the
actual freight amounts. For one of my clients I even spec'd-out a mod that
would automatically create a Service PO for the freight when a goods PO was
entered. The created Service PO would have its $ amounts derived from the
landed costs and it would cross-reference the goods PO number.
