JBA ML - FLP062 usage

I'm a relative "newbie" to System/21 and am in the throes of "cleaning up" a
system.  We have a file: FLP062 - User Period Balance/Transaction Linkage
that is absolutely huge it has 130,807,019 records in it!  I'd like to do a
"quick" purge and reorganization of it.  Can anyone explain what this file
is used for (or where I can look for documentation on it's use and what I
might screw up if I purge it)?
