If you're new to JBA System 21, you'll find the IBM Redbook 'GEAC System
21Implementation for AS/400' invaluable. Refering to your question
directly, appendix C tells you about all the little routines you should be
running, and when. Grab yourself a copy at

If that convoluted link doesn't work, do a search at

        Subject: JBA MLDaily clean up

I understand there are a number of files in JBA that need to be
cleaned/cleared/reorganized on a regular basis. I wrote a quick
query on the files in the OSL file library and saw that by reorganizing
these files we would retrieve roughly 2.4gb of disk space
(yes, gigabytes).

I tried searching the archives but didn't know what to look for (although
found references to DISKTOOLS and HOUSEKEEPING). Anyone
have a list of files/routines that should be done on a periodic basis to
clean up disk space/speed up operations?

Thanks in advance, I'm new to JBA.

Regards,
