Diana, Here is the info. The following info is meant to help fellow GEAC/JBA Users. I hope I am not violating any copyright laws. Thanks Business Information Database Product Support Information Sheet Date : 05/16/2001 Version : General Number : 556 Issue : 1.0 System21 and OS/400 V5R1 Geac Enterprise Solutions has completed testing System21 V3.5.2 SP4 using OS/400 V5R1 platform. The automated regression test suite performed exhibited no problems. Geac Enterprise Solutions therefore certifies System21 for running on the OS/400 V5R1 platform. It should be acknowledged that changes made in V5R1 could cause a problem in some of the many possible configurations of System21. It would be impossible to test all these configurations therefore in the unlikely event of a problem being found this should be reported using Problem Recording clearly identifying in the problem that you believe it to be a OS/400 V5R1 problem. Such problems will be given top priority. During the testing, a number of new features of OS/400 have highlighted some possible issues in relation to System21. These are highlighted below: Longer library lists OS/400 now allows for library lists to contain up to 250 libraries (previous limit was 25). If a long (i.e. more than 25) library list is set before going into System Manager or System21, the application will crash as it attempts to save a list longer than it expects. This is logged as AM/V3/1166. This feature is switchable and the default after upgrade is off. The ability to define library lists of more than 25 libraries within System21 is being investigated and we are looking to release an update to System Manager to take advantage of this. Longer passwords OS/400 now allows for case sensitive and longer passwords. If this new feature is activated, it may cause problems with some PC client applications which expect the AS/400 password to be a maximum of 10 characters and in uppercase. This affects older versions of Operations Navigator and can be overcome by not using the new feature. This feature is also switchable and the default after upgrade is off.
