  • Subject: FW: Reconciliation of Schedules vs. DCI Advanced Customer Schedu ling .

We are using release 3.5.2b service pack 3.

I have a Trading Partner which sends in releases (830's) with long range
forecasts and DCI's (862's). The requirement date is the day they want the
goods on the dock. Both the release and the DCI contain the same firm
requirements. When they receive my ASN, they remove the requirements
shipped from the next DCI. They do not send cums or last shipment
information. This means that the DCI should be reconciled by method code 06
(no reconciliation). No problem. The release gets transmitted once a week.
The requirements on this release are not shown as received until they
actually are received by the trading partner which could be as much as 10
days after the shipment. They send in new releases only once a week. This
would mean the releases should be reconciled using a method 04
(reconciliation using lead time). When I coded the contract this way,
Reconciliation method 04 for Releases and 06 for DCI; the releases reconcile
correctly but the DCI's reconcile using the lead time. Has anyone else run
into this situation? How did you over come it?

Have a great day,
