We have the situation where, when a purchased part is changed or becomes obsolete, we would like to prevent anyone from accidentally creating an order for it. There is an effective date range in the parts file, but purchasing order entry apparently does not reference it. There doesn't seem to be any program edit (or corresponding field) to indicate that it isn't OK to order this anymore. Is anyone aware of functionality we're overlooking? We are using the style distribution system, if that makes a difference.
