Geac sells a product that might work for you. It is primarily designed for Style, but still might fit your needs. The product is/was called SellIt, and it was part of the Runtime aquisition. I have seen the product, and it does a good job of keeping the laptop in sync with System21. -----Original Message----- From: owner-jbausers-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-jbausers-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of DAhKow@ibl.intnet.mu Sent: Wednesday, March 21, 2001 10:10 PM To: JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: Hand-Held devices for off-line sales input We looking for hand-held devices that can be used to allow roving salesmen to register their sales (& print invoices). The requirement is as follows : Salesmen have trucks which carry goods to be sold. They go on the road to visit shops and sell these goods They will be required to register each sale on the hand-held terminal and print an invoice. Once their trip is finished, they need to come back to the office and upload all the day's sales from the hand-held terminal onto our AS400. These uploaded files need then be fed into JBA SOP module. Has anyone out there had the same requirements? We would like to know which make of hardware & software you have been using for that purpose and that you would recommend.
