If you have the source code for IN043 there is a table that shows the flag
setting for the deletion of INP96 records.  We have done some testing and it
looks like if you use AFI, GLUP96 must be a 1;  if you don't use AFI it
ignores GLUP96.  Also,  we ran it over a 46,000 record file and got a 3,300
page audit report.  3,000,000 records might give you a slightly larger
report.  To avoid this, there is a flag PRTI96 that is set to one on each
record that has been printed.  If you SQL a 1 into this field it should not
print any records, but should delete all records from periods prior to the
current one.

We have only run this in test,  so I'm not guaranteeing anything.  

Finding things like this makes this user's forum invaluable.  I wonder how
many other things like this there are in JBA.
