Having done several uplifts in the past year (and service packs), I have found a way around duplicating all the program and display/printer file libraries by creating a single library to apply those ptf's and embedding that library at the top of the test environment lists but below a retrofit or modification library. This has worked very well and is not quite as space intensive. Just a suggestion. You will need to uplift you Application Manger PTF level to the required level before installing the PTFs to your test environment. You also need to make sure that your test environment is totally separate from your production. All libraries must be duplicated and not just the file libraries. The IBM Redbook has a chapter on creating test environments. +--- | This is the JBA Software Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message send your mail to JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JBAUSERS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JBAUSERS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: doug333@aol.com. +--- +--- | This is the JBA Software Users Mailing List! +---
