We have a problem with this file (PMPWC) not getting cleared when a 3-way match session fails... This file is a work file and it MUST ABSOLUTELY be cleared every night so that the next time a user attempts the 3-way match option it will pull up the correct records from the file PMP09... (Specifically Advice Notes) This is the strangest and most vulnerable piece of program logic I've seen yet in this package... This file (PMPWC) actually stores RRNs from PMP09 and expects those records to be there when the user tries to access them via the RRN... The problem comes when you've had a failed 3-way match session and you've got records stuck in PMPWC, while in the meantime your automatic REORG program has done a reorg over PMP09... Now you've got problems that can only be cured by clearing PMPWC... But you have to be sure to not clear the "good" records that someone might be using presently... We clear this file every night in the night job...!!! According to the JBA support desk they say this file should always be empty when not actively being used... Thank you. <snip> Yes. Application "PM" (Purchase Management). A specific example would be work file PMPWC, utilized in an accounts payable (application "PL") 3-way match. Field FRRNWC holds the relative record number that links the PMP09 file. <snip> +--- | This is the JBA Software Users Mailing List! | To submit a new message send your mail to JBAUSERS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JBAUSERS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JBAUSERS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: doug333@aol.com. +---
