Well, If you are not quite sure of the level of lay offs have a look at

GEAC has held true on its promise of letting 500 go. That represents about 
25% of the staff by my reckoning. Nobody knows if the 500 has been achieved 
/ exceeded. In either event, the objective has been achieved...

Many operational and development people are gone. My understanding is that 
the product labs in Birmingham, uk have been dessimated, and the product 
labs in Canada, Ireland and what remained of Sri Lanka are all gone. 
Additionally all of the product managers are gone. With that, you can but 
assume that the product direction is also in the christmas pudding.

There appears to be an ever - wider trail of carnage extending in the wake 
of this buy out. As a customer I feel that my investment is under severe 
threat!
