Overall, I think a purchase of JBA would be good, if the plan is to invest some cash into upgrading the software and increasing the productivity and efficiency of their organization.  The US market from the beginning has been run like the management gurus of the past fifteen years have preached of the flat organization with decentralized management.  I think with the new president it is becoming more focused and most probably more efficient.  From what I hear GEAC is cash rich and looks to spread their expertise since they don't compete in the ERP market now.

Since the beginning of the year I (I work for a distributor of Sys/21) have noticed a significant change in the help line support and the overall organizational change.  In our case, the support has been becoming more favorable and what is planned for us and our customers is very positive.  I also, have heard that there has been a reorganization and many have left JBA.  Apparently, this has effected the upper echelons also.

I look forward to an improvement on all fronts with the acquisition.
