We use Envisage to a limited extent.  We are pretty much switching over to
just using Access and ODBC to the JBA data, since that works quite well.
Envisage does provide a nice handle on the fields and field references and
the ability to do some nice graphical summarizations and drilldowns.  It
doesn't eliminate the need to understand the underlying database design,
however, and so hasn't proved to be as much of an end user tool as we
expected.

If you are interested in ODBC to the AS/400, repost or email me.  There are
huge differences in driver performance out there.
