Just curious, what is the reasoning behind placing an AS/400 in every shop versus doing something like Citrix to a central AS/400 and having redundant lines to the Central AS/400?

I am curious how one could cost justify this type of a solution.

Yes that is 1,400 iSeries and yes that is one in every branch office
with at least 3 PCs off them. Oh, that is also yes that the security is
managed from my location. We have a team that deal with the daily user
maintenance, with me dealing with problems, planning and programming
changes.
