Howdy Nexters!

I know you all haven't heard from me in a while. To put it mildly, I've
been a little busy.

There have been numerous reports of a bug in RPGBeans since it was in
Beta, namely that the Create Prototype portion would cr*p out. This has
really been a thorn in my side: I have personally never seen it and I
have never been able to recreate it on any of the four systems here in
house. This is especially frustrating, because even if you had no
interest in Encapsulation, the "Create Prototypes" tool could be
extremely beneficial.

Recently, on some of the mailing lists, people have been talking about
Open Source again. As a Linux fan, I'm well acquanited with Open
Source, and some of my programmers have contributed to many open source
projects including the Linux Kernel. In fact, if you are Blog-aware, we
have a new open source Blog software project in Beta that is Search
Engine Optimized. Check it out at http://www.seonucleus.com. But I
digress...

It sounds like I'm ramlbing, but hang in there... I have made one last
effort to correct the previously mentioned bug in RPGBeans, but I have
no idea if it will work or not. Truthfully, I don't think it will and
frankly I have zero time to dedicate to it, especially since it works
great for me. So, taking all these things into account, I have decided
to make RPGBeans an Open Source project. If you download the latest
version from the website at http://www.rpgbeans.com/downloads/ you will
find all the source included in RPGBEANLIB/QSOURCE. Maybe someone out
there can fix this little bug.

So here's the deal: feel free to work on it. If you make a correction,
change or enhancement, submit it to me and if I approve it I'll add it
to the current version and make it available to everyone else. If there
is enough interest, I will create a Forum on the website and look into
some kind of CVS system. The license hasn't changed: you can't sell the
tool, but you can use it and modify it to your hearts content, even for
commercial purposes.
