I found two bugs in the RNBQUSLFLD Service Program today:

1) The getFieldNameList() procedure left embedded blanks in the return
string, like so:

"CODE ,NAME ,CURRENTDT ,ETC "

It has been corrected to return the appropriately trimmed elements:

"CODE,NAME,CURRENTDT,ETC"

2) The retrieveField() procedure was always returning *off, even if the
field was found... not very helpful when embedded in a branch
construct...

I've done something new for this correction: you can download just the
one service program in a new *SAVF. This will be much quicker than
updating the entire library. Download the *SAVF at:

http://www.rpgnext.com/downloads/RPGNEXT001.savf

Follow these instruction:

- Create a new *SAVF file on your system called "RPGNEXT001"
- FTP the file you downloaded to your iSeries and PUT it into the *SAVF
you just created
- Run the RSTOBJ command:
RSTOBJ OBJ(RNBQUSLFLD) SAVLIB(RPGNEXTLIB) DEV(*SAVF)
SAVF(yourLib/RPGNEXT001)

Also, one last note, I've had lots of comments from readers saying that
they can in fact copy -n- paste from the result set of OpsNav SQL. No
matter what I do, however, it does not work for me. So if you need that
feature, try it, it sounds like it shoudl work for you.

Thanks and happy coding,

Joel
