The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Is it a one-time deal, or should it be something you can deploy in production
and use every day?
Because these are very, very different scenarios.
However, the partial and short answer is yes: you can read/manipulate data from
databases external to Power Server and other than DB2.
After that, a whole series of factors come into play that can make or break this
solution (network latency, whether it's mission-critical or not, etc.).
Scott Klement's articles on using JDBC drivers have already provided a good
starting point for exploring a solution to your problem.
It could be the ideal solution or something in between, depending on your
specific context.
Another real and concrete solution could be database federation, perhaps even
including a DB2 instance for LUW.
