I did this many years ago, both from an iSeries database to a Win PC within Excel
and from Win PC Excel to a database in the iSeries. So, it's doable.
At the end of workday, the person in charge startet a job from his PC and updated
his new data from Excel to the iSeries, where the DB got updated.
From the iSeries (with new data too), a job started at midnight and after end, both
the Excel DB and iSeries DB were equal.
