If you don't have name collisions (your one is not qualified) the way is
modifying your copy:

/IF NOT DEFINED(NOPSDS)
Your standard PSDS
/ENDIF
/IF DEFINED(NOPSDS)
Dcl-Ds MyNewPsDs based(p_MyNewPsDs);
Program char(10); // Don't use *PROC
...
...
End-Ds;
/ENDIF

/IF DEFINED(NOPSDS)
p_MyNewPsDs = %addr(VendorPsDs);
/ENDIF
